"Great rack with one flaw" 2009-11-21
By J. Madden
I wanted a sturdy trunk rack that would be easy to attach to my bike. I bought this one mainly the price was very good and it appeared to be what I wanted. The instructions left something to be desired, but, with a little basic common sence, one can figure how it attaches to the bike. The primary flaw were the braces that attached to the seat stays, they were too long for my bike and not ajustable. A quick measure and a trip to the local hardware store to buy a small metal brace, that I found in the cabinetry section, a couple of cuts with my Dremil and I had custom fitted braces. Total time to do the whole job 3 hrs and looks great! Am I one of those guys who are handy with tools? No! This was a simple job and I've been happy with everything ever since. All in all its a well made, good sturdy rack.

"plan for install time and parts" 2009-09-14
By Beth MN
I've had my rack on my new bike for about a month now. The funtionality is fine and the rack is very sturdy. My only complaint (like others before me) is about the installation, the rack comes with no instructions which isn't that much of a problem until you discover that some screws don't fit in some places. The screws included with the rack did not match the size I needed for the pre-tapped holes on my Trek bike. So, just plan on at least one trip to the hardware store and about 10 minutes more than you think it should take for the actual installation.
